Transpix Limited, supported by Smart Video & Sensing Ltd were finalists in the Costain 2019 Intelligent Infrastructure Challenge. The presentations were made at the UK Highways Exhibition and Conference held at the NEC Birmingham on November 6th/7th.
The Transpix 'BridgeEye' AI software uses behaviour analysis to detect suspicious pedestrian activity on bridges and other structures to alert operators where there is a possible suicide attempt or potential cases dangerous behaviour e.g. launching material off bridges on to traffic below.
Dr Aparna Garg of Transpix delivered the elevator pitch for BridgeEye in the Safety category where she indicated that Highways England had recorded as many as 652 suicides on its network in just one year.
